Clear Concise thorough
Otherwise known as "shop drawings" or "permit packs," these drawings detail out how a project is to be manufactured and delivered. These drawings show how the proposed structure will fit into the space, materials, mounting details and other fabrication details will also be specified.
WHO NEEDS THE DOCUMENT?
The intended audience is the primary driver for how the final product is presented.
- FOR ESTIMATING: With proper formatting, a SketchUp file can export a spreadsheet of material areas, weights, lengths, volume etc. We can cooperate with your estimation team to provide units as needed.
- FOR PERMIT APPROVAL: I will work within the municipality's requirements to provide all the necessary documentation to get it through the first time.
- FOR FABRICATION: All detail will be targeted to answer questions that may come up during manufacture. I have worked within several manufacturing facilities and know how to communicate even the most complicated designs clearly. The detailing involved in 3D work also helps shops avoid costly experimentation with real materials. My 3D work also accounts for material thicknesses and will produce drawings that can go straight to manufacture with minimal adjustment. CNC-ready drawings save time and anguish. That means your job is done sooner and with less waste.

I can use your company's normal title block to appear as an in-house designer, or present on my own title block as an outside design firm. You may also request loose images or other files to be compiled on your side of the fence.
